TV BLOOPERS FOR AUGUST 2014 HIGHLIGHT COST SAVINGS

With the rush of new (and cheaper) TV journalists entering the market each day there never seems to be a shortage of bloopers.

And with fewer editors to actually screen those being interviewed on-air there will never be a shortage of fake callers and others willing to call into a TV station and make anchors look foolish.

After all, which producer with any experience would run a chyron of a name “Louis Slungpue” to talk about a sewer break? Or an anchor who wants to pronounce the name correctly: “Is that ‘Slung-Pew’ or ‘Slung-Poo?’”

What producer (in New York no less!!) considers it “Breaking News” when Facebook goes down for a few minutes?

At least the stations are saving money on personnel!!
