It has never happened before in the history of the popular “This American Life” show that airs Sunday mornings on public radio on KCUR (89.3 FM) in Kansas City and nationwide.
TAL was recently forced to retract a story that was highly critical of the Foxcconn factory where Apple products are manufactured in China. It used as its source storyteller Mike Daisey’s account that he has been telling theater audiences since 2010 about conditions there.

“I should say I am not happy to have to come to you and tell you that something we presented on the radio as factual is not factual,” says host Ira Glass (left).
