Jessica Sanchez is a reporter at WKMG in Orlando sent to New Orleans to cover the Super Bowl.
And she really doesn’t seem to like it very much.
Maybe it’s because during major events like the Super Bowl and Mardi Gras New Orleans smells like an outhouse filled with puking drunks.
When Sanchez tried to deliver her “Live” report, an obnoxious 49ers fan attempted to “videobomb” her by jumping into the picture as she was talking.
An exasperated Sanchez turned the table and asked the drunk woman, “How long have you had an STD?”
“I don’t have an STD,” was the stragglers reply. “Oh, then why did you want to talk? It’s nothing to be ashamed of.”
Sanchez then went on to complain about the smell of the place as the drunk tried to get into her shot again.
And you thought being a TV reporter was glamorous…

I’m sorry but Jessica should have been the professional. Does the bitch think shes in the Cayman islands on a retreat. Get real heifer you’re on Bourbon during Superbowl week. What an idiot. Why is she even here reporting from Florida? Clearly, she cannot handle this very small venture. People do that everywhere when people are reporting like oh lets says New Years Eve and no one bashes then on public television and accuses them of having an STD for it. I really didn’t think the girl from Cali was that bad but the reporter should hold herself to a much higher standard and because she did not, was unprofessional, and went way below the belt she should be canned.
REPORTER WITHOUT MORALITY
The reporter revealed more about herself than she intended. The way she said that having an STD is nothing to be ashamed of, suggested a familiarity with having an STD and not having morality.
The station wanted a live shot, presumably to capture the “news” such a shot would offer. The party-goer offered it and for doing so was slandered. That woman should sue station and the reporter personally.
I wish this sort of thing happened more often. Then, news entertainment would be more entertaining.
DEAL WITH BEHAVIOR
Jessica Sanchez looks like the model on the Huge Domains web site that keeps trying to sell my former domain name for several hundred dollars. But I digress. When you send a reporter to New Orleans to cover the Super Bowl you should fully expect that he/she will encounter a fair amount of bad and/or strange behavior. Deal with it!

Ms. Sanchez’s actions were rude and unprofessional, but interrupting a reporter in mid-broadcast is hardly polite. What if Ms. Sanchez had been reporting a shooting or some other tragedy? The 49ers fan would have really been doing viewers a disservice. Drunk or sober, we have to live with our actions. Traffic cops don’t give people breaks because they’ve had a few too many. Ms. Sanchez simply took a non-event and made it entertaining.
What’s most striking about the clip is how little news value there is to it. If Ms. Sanchez were reporting that a 49er, say the quarterback, had been in accident at the spot where she was standing and wouldn’t be able to play in the Superbowl, that would be newsworthy.
Ms. Sanchez didn’t have to leave Orlando to discover that people like to drink alcohol and that sanitation in New Orleans needs improvement. In just about every city in this nation, there is some stinky corner where people like to get wasted. A simple Google search would have saved the Orlando TV station a good deal of expense and might have been more interesting.
This is like reporting the sun rose this morning, the Grandview Triangle is clogged or that Meryl Streep has given a good performance. If something exceptionally bad or good happens, then it’s worth reporting. When a Chiefs wide receiver actually catches a pass, that’s news.
As a fan of KC’s own Boulevard beer, I understand why people like to drink, but is it newsworthy that I consumed one?
