When a reporter begins a story saying, “The public relations industry is at best comical, at worst evil, and, for the most part, a simpering crab pot of truth-twisting and careerist ego stroking.”
Ouch!!
The last time such vitriol was aimed at this PR Puke was by an editor at an alternative weekly in Kansas City. She is now in a public relations post with a local hospital.
Anyway, Gawker magazine noted that this week PR folks were pushing stories about plastic surgery and chins. And while this reporter was upset about it, a number of media outlets did stories about it.
Kind of like when Bottom Line Communications, Kansas City’s premier PR shop, represented a group of plastic surgeons a few years ago. Instead of chins, we helped them get some great exposure for boob jobs and Botox. Now that was a fun project!!
