Paige Powers will be heading to WPHT-AM in Philadelphia to reunite with talker Chris Stigall, who went to Philly in Jan 2011, sources have told Kansas City Public Relations Agency Bottom Line Communications.
Powers will perform the same duties as morning news anchor/co-host at WPHT that she did on Stigall’s highly successful show on KCMO-710 AM.
She will join him March 28 on his morning show from 5:30 to 9 a.m.
Powers and Stigall worked together at KCMO for about four years. Shortly after his departure she took a position outside of radio as Marketing and Events Manager at KC’s City Market.
Stigall took advantage of an opportunity at KCMO and his show skyrocketed in popularity.
When Cumulus assumed control of KCMO in mid-2006, then popular local morning host Van Patrick quit on air, upset over the firing of his producer as well as many others in the building. In September, Stigall, a graduate at Northwest Missouri State, was given a new morning show that highlighted his conservative views along with humor.
His KCMO show was a huge success and he has continued that success in Philly.
“Working at the Market has been the most amazing experience and it truly saddens me to leave,” Powers told Kansas City PR agency Bottom Line, “however, I just cannot pass up this opportunity.”
Following her graduation with a communications degree from Wichita State University, Powers spent nearly seven years with Clear Channel Entertainment’s Live Nation as Marketing Manager helping to promote concerts across the Midwest.
She then joined Cumulus Media Partners in 2004 and was an on-air personality with KCJK 105.1 Jack FM for two years before joining Stigall’s show.
