MIKE TYSON: MEDIA TRAINING DOESN’T ALWAYS WORK

Mike Tyson has been a train wreck his entire career.

Yes, at one time he was able to use his aggression to pummel people’s heads and make lots of money. Other than during those glory days, he pretty much has been an uneducated bully who has spent many years locked up. Rightfully so.

Tyson proved that once again he is an idiot by swearing during a live TV show in Canada. Keep in mind, he has probably been through media training several times during his life and his handlers try desperately to try and manage his image.

But all the media training in the world cannot fix stupid.

    I love it!

I agree with your comments, John, that Tyson has not learned from media training, some people can’t learn from media training, and Tyson should not have sworn on live television.

However, I disagree that the clip shows Tyson to be stupid. Tyson called out this creep who was doing a “gotcha” interview.

HOORAY FOR MIKE TYSON FOR CALLING OUT THE INTERVIEWER. Tyson had it right when he said that the guy comes across as a nice guy, but really is a piece of [expletive deleted]. Then, rather than acting as if nothing happened, he continued to rebuff the interviewer. Brilliant! Certainly better than walking off the set.

Truth trumps etiquette. The interviewer baited Tyson, but Tyson didn’t take the bait. Better yet, Tyson called him out for it. How refreshing to see someone honestly express himself rather than being mealy-mouthed!

My opinion of Mike Tyson just went up a notch.

Anyone who curses during a TV interview is ignorant. Tyson was on the show to promote his agenda. Just because the interviewer asks him a question that is “not positive” doesn’t mean he completely comes unglued and acts like a thug. The interviewer won.
