MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN: PLUMBER SPONSORS ‘URINETOWN’

Sometimes businesses sponsor events that make little or no business sense.
At other times the sponsorship seems like a match made in heaven.
That is certainly the case with Bob Hamilton Plumbing (Heating, A/C & Rooter), a Kansas City staple since 1983, deciding to sponsor the Tony award-winning musical “Urinetown.”
The company even enhanced the sponsorship by partnering with the charitable organization “Giving the Basics” to have a Toilet Paper Drive in conjunction with the show.
Hamilton will be the title sponsor for The Theatre in the Park’s run of “Urinetown, which will run July 20-22 and July 26-29th.
During the run of the show, theatre patrons will be asked to bring a four-pack of toilet paper to the Bob Hamilton table and receive a small token of thanks.
All of the toilet paper collected will be donated to “Giving the Basics” and distributed in the Kansas City Metro area to those in need.
“This is a match made in heaven,” said Bob Hamilton, owner. “When or where else can a plumbing company sponsor a musical about bathrooms and give back to the community rolls of toilet paper? When I found out about the opportunity I almost peed my pants.”

I am positive that by collecting these donations, Bob Hamilton Plumbing will wipe up on free advertising and good will.
