John Martellaro, who spent 14 years as a reporter at the Kansas City Star, has been named the new director of media relations at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, sources have told Bottom Line Communications.
His first day in his new position will be February 13.
Since leaving the Star in 2000 he has served as director of media relations at the Corporate Communications group for eight years. CCG became part of the Trozzolo Communications Group and he has been with Trozzolo the past 3 1/2 years in the same capacity.
Martellaro is a graduate of Penn State.
