Conan O’Brien loves to poke the TV news media about how stations simply get a dumb news release off the wire and read it word-for-word on the air.

The latest involves former Saturday Night Live performer and “Austin Powers” star Mike Myers and his wife, who are having their second baby.

It’s not exactly breaking news, but with lots of air time to fill the teleprompter crowd all broke the news in the same way and looked ridiculous in the process since many tried to do Myers’ signature line even though they seemed to be reading it for the first time.
