AVERAGE KANSASCITY.COM VISITOR SPENDING 9+MINUTES
    According to Editor & Publisher (LINK), the average visitor to the Kansas City Star's Internet site (kansascity.com) spent 9 minutes, 21 seconds in Sept. 2009. That compares favorably to the same month in 2008 when visitors clocked in at 7:33.
    In a ranking of the Top 30 sites where the most time was spent during the month the Star overall placed 19th.  
   The site with the highest average time spent per person in September was the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, clocking in at 33 minutes and 17 seconds. The (Minnesota) Star Tribune's Web site was next with an average time spent of 20 minutes and 18 seconds. 
  
The top five leaders for unique users were the  NYTimes.com; Wall Street Journal Online; USATODAY.com; Washingtonpost.com; and LA Times. The average time spent at the top five averaged less than 13 minutes in September 2009.
