KC STAR INTRODUCES NEW CHIEFS' BOOK WRITTEN BY EX-STAFFER
Could the timing possibly have been worse?
The Kansas City Star is introducing a new book highlighting the Kansas City Chiefs---the worst team in pro football---written by its long-time sportswriter who was uncermoniously dumped last November by the paper.
    "
A Sea of Red: 50 Years With the Chiefs and The Kansas City Star"  is an account of the history of the Chiefs franchise. The coffee table book is $27.95 was printed by the Star's book division.
The 50th anniversary book was written by Jeffrey Flanagan, a 19-year sportswriter and former columnist for The Star, who "researched and compiled The Star's coverage through the years and presents it in this compelling account of one of football's most storied franchises."
KCMO morning talker Chris Stigall (10-12-2009) said the title of the book, "A Sea of Red," sounds like a perfect description of the Kansas City Star these days...
