KMBC's MAHONEY DELIVERS MEDIA QUOTE OF DAY....
Veteran KMBC-TV9 reporter Micheal Mahoney closed out 2008 with one of the funniest media lines of the year.  Mahoney was being interviewed (12/31) by fellow KMBCer Kris Ketz, who was subbing for vacationing Chris Stigall on Stigall's morning radio talk show on KCMO-710 AM.
Mahoney was poking Ketz for taking a week off from his FirstNews morning TV show on KMBC and then hosting a morning radio show. He asked Ketz if he was trying to get in front of virtually every microphone in the Kansas City area.
"Is it true that when you go grocery shopping with your family that they have to get between you and the microphone in the check out line?" said Mahoney.
