HEARNE CHRISTOPHER RECOVERING FROM PNEUMONIA
Folks have been wondering why Kansas City Star gossip columnist Hearne Christopher Jr.'s column has been off its regular schedule the past few weeks. Inquiring minds wanted to know, so we at BLC did some investigating. We uncovered the reason is Hearne came down with pneumonia shortly after being bitten by KSHB-TV41's weather guy Gary Lezak's dog "Breezy." "Weird as it sounds I'm kinda blaming it on Gary Lezak's dog bite earlier this summer," says Hearne. "When I started getting a summer cold just as I was departing on a family vacation, I couldn't take any antibiotics, because it was too soon after the doggie bite drugs. "So I just coughed for about five weeks and the next thing you know I'm getting chest x-rays and cat-scans," he adds. There has been no word on the condition of "Breezy..."
