Here's wishing a quick recovery to Hearne Christopher Jr, Kansas City Star columnist, who took a major fall down steps at Jardine's Restaurant and Jazz Club on Main St. in KCMO over the weekend. According to a note sent to Chris Stigall, morning talk show host on KCMO-710 where Christopher was scheduled as a guest, Christopher's wife, Lori, said Hearne fell down a flight of stairs and broke his nose, chipped a tooth, has a fracture around his eye and assorted bruises . He will be off-work at least a week. Christopher has been writing for the Star since 1992. Here's hoping for a quick recovery.
