VETERAN MORNING CO-ANCHOR CHRIS PISANO LET GO AT KCTV5
The cutbacks and changes are continuing at KCTV5 and sources have informed Bottom Line that "More in the Morning" show co-anchor and noon anchor Chris Pisano has been let go at the CBS affiliate. (Tonyskansascity.com predicted an anchor change at KCTV.)
Pisano had been with KCTV5 for seven years this month and has co-hosted the morning show with Dana Wright. Sources have told Bottom Line that he was told of this action yesterday.
Prior to joining KCTV, Pisano worked as the morning and noon show anchor at WZZM in Grand Rapids, Mich., and as a morning show live reporter, weather person and fill-in anchor at WMAZ in Macon, Ga.
He graduated at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and attended Emerson College in Boston where he participated in the graduate broadcasting program.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have four children.
KCTV's "Morning Show" has been struggling in the ratings and finished a distant third during the recent February TV sweeps period.  WDAF-FOX4 dominated at 6 a.m. with a 5.0 rating/18 share with KMBC second at 4.2/15 and KCTV at 2.7/10.  KSHB was last at 1.8/6.
