BRIAN WEBB WILL DEPART KSHB-TV41 FOR KTVK IN PHOENIX

    Brian Webb, KSHB-TV41 news reporter, who joined the NBC station in 2002, will depart in a few weeks for a new position with KTVK, a Belo-owned independent station.    He will report three days a week and anchor weekend mornings.

    At KSHB Webb began as co-anchor of NBC Action News Today and later assumed duties as a news reporter.

    He started his broadcast career in Topeka, KS., at KTKA in 1994, where he worked with NBC Action News Anchor Sally Moore and NBC Action News Reporter Amy Hawley. Prior to coming to NBC Action News, he was a reporter for KCTV-TV5 for five years.   Webb's reporting received the Associated Press Spot News Story of the Year Award in 1997.

    A native of Newton, Kan., he has lived in the Kansas City area for more than a decade.
