KSHB's ALEX SIGNS OFF 10 P.M. NEWSCAST
Veteran KSHB anchor Elizabeth Alex officially signed off from her 10 p.m. anchor duties at the NBC affiliate Friday night (3/11).
It was announced here earlier that she would be reducing her hours to just the 6 p.m. weekday news segment as she assumes
a new position with TLC for Children, an Olathe-based emergency shelter for abused and neglected children.
Alex, one of the longest tenured anchors in the Kansas City television market has been at the station for 15 years. No replacement has been named to replace the Overland Park native and Shawnee Mission West grad on the 5 and 10 p.m. segments.

On her final broadcast Alex slid into her new public relations role by narrating a story about her new employer, soon to be known as KidsTLC.
KSHB News Director Peggy Phillip told Bottom Line the station has whittled down potential candidates for Alex's position to "about a half-dozen." She gave no timetable when the final decision will be made.
