As reported on this site last month, WDAF-TV has officially announced today that Karli Ritter is the station’s new morning show meteorologist.
She joins Mark Alford, Loren Halifax and Nick Vasos weekday mornings 4:30am – 9am on FOX 4.
Ritter has been on-air at WDAF since March 2007, and is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) and a member of the American Meteorology Society (AMS). She replaces the late Don Harman.
FOX 4 President and General Manager, Cheryl McDonald, said in a news release, “We are so proud of Karli and how she has grown into her new role. Since becoming a part of our team she has brought a refreshing personality to the morning show and everybody loves her. Karli will continue FOX 4’s proud tradition of excellence in the mornings.”
Ritter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Florida State University. After graduation, she worked in Sarasota, FL and Montgomery, AL. In November of 2007, she earned her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society, making FOX 4 the only station in Kansas City with all four of its meteorologists certified.
She and her husband, Chris, live in Kansas City with their two dogs.
