A lot of celebrities come and go every day in Kansas City, so it wasn’t necessarily groundbreaking news when it was learned that exercise guru Richard Simmons was in town Thursday to attend North Kansas City Hospital’s “Move into Fall” event.
It is more newsworthy that the flamboyant, high-energy, motivational speaker posed for a photo at KCI Airport with KMBC sports director Johnny Kane. Simmons was heading back to Los Angeles and Kane to Phoenix.
Definitely a Kodak moment you just don’t often see in KC.

So what’s up in Phoenix with KMBC? It’s way too early for spring training (heck, the Royals season just ended) and the Chiefs aren’t playing the Arizona Cardinals out there this weekend. I’m assuming, of course, that the trip is work-related. PGA? Nascar? As they say, inquiring minds want to know!

johnny kane is THE WORST on KC TV for any sports !!! Delivery is Terrible, Fake smile, and shouts at the viewer, Just not very good, needs to go back to school and learn a little bit more, but leave sports reporting to a Professional !
