Scott Parks, afternoon radio talk show on the “Dana and Parks” program on KMBZ-980 AM, opened the show today by telling a story about how he had just inhaled Lysol before going on the air.
Parks relayed details about how he felt he was going to get a cold today, so he drank orange juice, pills and an inhaler.
It was reminiscent of Felix Unger in the “Odd Couple” played by Jack Lemmon, who was a chronic hypochondriac and germophobe.
As Parks related, he was cleaning his keyboard with Lysol (as Unger might have in his day). Then, while thinking he was using the inhaler for his cold, Parks somehow confused it with the Lysol and sprayed that into his mouth before going on the air.
Parks and Dana Wright then spent the first segment of the show discussing the issue. Wright could not stop laughing as well as producer Rod Babcock. Newswoman Kara Marxer suggested someone call the Poison Hotline, but no one did.
Parks whined about symptoms, but for some reason they all felt it was wise to wait and see if he died to determine a course of action.
Parks survived.

AFTER SCHOOL CHAT
Listening to Dana and Parks is painful. It’s like listening to two immature teenagers talking after a long day at school.
CLICK!
And the sounds of clicking could be heard throughout Kansas City, to another station, or off altogether.
And this is why I generally don’t listen to any of the talk radio shows in Kansas City. It’s just more of the general silliness I see on the local TV stations. Get a clue, folks!
WATCH HYPOCRISY METER
well, i’ll give’em this much, at least they’re not talking non-stop politics anymore like shanin & parks. but scott, you really need to watch your hypocrisy meter. you wavered more yesterday than romney and obama combined.
Cut him a break. He was using Lysol as a mouthwash.
