Kelli Stegeman, who was born and raised in Olathe, will be joining Fox affiliate WFTX in Fort Meyers, FL as a weekend anchor and reporter, according to the TV Spy site.
Stegeman most recently worked at Topeka’s Kansas News First, the NBC (KSNT), FOX (KTMJ) and ABC (KTKA) triopoly since 2007 as a reporter/producer.
“We are excited to have someone with Kelli’s energy and enthusiasm joining the Fox 4 news team,” said WFTX news director Eric Maze. ”She’s not only a terrific anchor, she is a solid reporter who is looking forward to getting answers for viewers.”
Stegeman graduated in 2006 with a degree in journalism and a minor in sociology from the University of Oklahoma.
