SIPES JOINS KRDO IN COLORADO SPRINGS

     03-31-2008---Michael Sipes, who surprised everyone when he left his position as news director at KMBC-TV9 prior to the November 2007 sweeps period, has been named to the same position at KRDO-TV, the News-Press & Gazette Broadcasting's ABC affiliate in Colorado Springs.  He started his new position on March 31.
    Sipes reportedly left KMBC for Chicago to assist his ailing father. He
 held the news director position at KMBC for seven years and has also held news director jobs in Louisville, Ky., and Jackson, Miss. 
    He is a graduate of the University of Missouri.
