Area publisher is elected to national women's business group board
 Kansas City Business Journal
   Kelly Scanlon, publisher of Kansas City Small Business Monthly, has been elected to the board of the National Association Of Women Business Owners.
   Scanlon will start a two-year term on the group's board on June 12 at NAWBO's 2008 Women's Business Conference in Phoenix, the group said in a release.
   The 13-member board comprises five newly elected members and eight returning members.
   NAWBO calls itself the largest membership organization exclusively for women business owners in the country. It has 80 chapters and more than 10,000 members internationally.
   Scanlon is president of the group's Kansas City chapter and has held several regional and nation committee positions with the group. NAWBO was founded in 1975.
