Comedian Kevin Nealon, 58, was making the rounds of the media today in Kansas City ahead of his weekend comedy performances at the Improv KC Theatre (link) at Zona Rosa and stopped by the FOX 4 studios.
No one anticipated the former 13-year “Saturday Night Live” star would step in and help newcomer Michelle Bogowith with her weather report. It was the first week on the job for the new meteorologist and having Nealon take over her job was likely quite a surprise.
NOT FOND OF SILLINESS
It’s too bad the station’s loyal viewers were forced to put up with this silliness even if ever so briefly. Does Fox 4 have some sort of a contractual arrangment with Improv KC Theatre whereby wandering comedians are allowed to show up on set and “do” the weather? Well, at least the new weather girl isn’t already pregnant.

Uhm. You DO REALIZE that is is Fox 4 you’re talking about here right? Lol. This is what made their morning show such a success that it is (or maybe rather was now).
Nothing wrong with a little fun from time to time in the mornings dude. Plus, it was 9:47am! A majority of their viewers weren’t even there I bet.

All due respect to Rick – I loved it. Too often TV and radio folks take themselves to seriously. We newspaper folks NEVER do that. (cough…cough) Kudos to Fox 4 – brought a little silliness and hilarity from someone who obviouisly hadn’t worked a green screen in a while. I like the fact they aren’t afraid to polk themselves once in a while. And to pair him w/ a brand new meteorologist who really doesnt know the ropes in her new gig..priceless. She handled it masterfully. I may watch it again just for kicks!
