In May 2012, KCWE, Kansas City’s CW, delivered exceptionally high CW prime time ratings, enough to earn the station top rankings among CW affiliates nationwide, according to a news release issued by KMBC.
KMBC/KCWE is part of Hearst Television, Inc., a national multi-media company, that owns and operates 29 local television stations and two local radio stations, serving 30 U.S. cities and reaching approximately 18% of U.S. television household
Of note, KCWE’s Monday-Friday CW prime time audience of women 25-34 placed the station at #2 in the country, outperforming CW affiliates in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Washington D.C.
Additionally, KCWE’s CW prime time delivery both of households and women 18-34 scored two more top ten rankings, making the station the seventh highest rated CW affiliate in each of those respective demographics.
In fact, KCWE’s May 2012 CW prime time performance in all key demos earned the station a top 20 ranking or better among CW affiliates across the U.S.
“It is clear the investment we’ve made to build KCWE as a top performing station has already begun to show promising momentum,” said KMBC/KCWE President and General Manager, Sarah Smith. “This achievement is certainly exciting, and is only the beginning for this station. We will continue to work aggressively and make KCWE
the number one CW affiliate in the country.”

Crowing about your achievements vis-a-vis other members of your network affiliates is making a big noise about little or nothing…what matters is local ratings….I assume that KCWE still sucks locally
