04-23-2008 MEREDITH HOENES OUT AT KSHB-TV41 In a surprising move right before the crucial TV sweeps period, we have learned that reporter Meredith Hoenes, 29, is no longer with KSHB-TV41, Kansas City's local NBC affiliate. Officials from KSHB refused to comment on her sudden departure. In a terse note to staffers, Rick Iler, who took over as general manager at KSHB last August said: Hello Everyone, Meredith Hoenes is no longer an employee of KSHB/KMCI. Please do not allowed Meredith in the building without the knowledge and consent of Craig Allison, Tracy Wakeman or myself.
Following graduation from the University of Missouri-Columbia's School of Journalism Hoenes headed to Corpus Christi, TX where she reported on politics and religion. She landed in Kansas City in the spring of 2004 as a Host for 38 the Spot (later replaced by Holly Starr) and Traffic Reporter for NBC Action News Today. Hoenes co-hosted the ill-fated "Kansas City Live" morning show (see "KC Live is Dead") with Brett Anthony. She is single and originally from Palmyra, MO.

What on earth happened to Meredith? 1st they cancel her show and replace it with one that has the same format. Now, she's banned from the station. Is she switching to another (local hopefully) station?
