Christopher again stresses he is correct about Starbucks closing.
The bottom line is that when Hearne Christopher, Jr. of the Kansas City Star feels he has scooped a fellow journalist on a story he rarely lets up in his column (formerly called "Cowtown Confidential") and will repeat it frequently. That is certainly the case with a Starbucks closing near the Broadway Cafe. The story was first reported by fellow Star columnist Joyce Smith ("Hearne Corrects Smith") as a case of David (Broadway Cafe) taking down Goliath (Starbucks). Christopher corrected her reporting by firing back that the Starbucks simply relocated to a better location and was not run out of the area by the Cafe. Following Smith's column the New York Times("Broadway Cafe in NYT) picked up the story. However, on 3/30/08 Christopher again repeats his assertion that he is correct on the issue and Smith and the New York Times got it wrong.
