Blake Carnes is not your typical 16-year-old high school student. She is a community force of nature.
Kansas City Star reporter Jennifer Bhargava did a superb job profiling Carnes in its “913″ publication (5/9). Her “Blake’s Closet” collects clothes and distributes them to people in need.
The Blue Valley West junior formed “Blake’s Closet” when she was 14 in addition to being a swimmer, National Honor Society member and volunteer on other projects.
The Star not only focused on this remarkable individual, but also the fact she is now looking for a larger space to house her clothes in central Johnson County. If you can help please visit her Web site for more information.
Bottom Line Communications is proud to have donated our services to help Blake receive the publicity she so richly deserves for her efforts to make our community better.
