Justin Robinson, a native Kansas Citian and graduate at Hickman Hills High School, is no longer a weekday morning reporter with KMBC-TV, station officials have confirmed to Bottom Line Communications.
A source did not know what Robinson’s future plans were and whether he was staying in TV.
Robinson joined the ABC affiliate in June 2008 as a morning weekday reporter after working at WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, IN as a reporter. At WANE he received an Indiana Associated Press award for Breaking News Coverage in 2007.
A track champion at Tulane University where he won the Conference USA 440-meter championship in 2000, Robinson began his TV career in St. Joseph, MO. where he had a series of assignments of increasing responsibility including as an assignment editor, photographer, live truck operator, producer, reporter and anchor.

Justin is just a great guy – I was at KQTV when he started there and unlike most new young reporters Justin always worked hard and always had a great attitude. To me he was always solid in the mornings at KMBC, everytime they had a live shot it involved Justin who handled hard stories as well as those walk of the week stories – I wish him well -
He will truly be missed. Always felt comfortable that I was getting the real “story” when he stepped up to the mic. An excellent young professional. I’m certain his future is extremely bright!
I didn’t even realize he was gone until recently
i will miss seeing him in the mornings. I wish him all the best!!! Hope you come back to KC Justin!!!
MISSES JUSTIN
