There are people you meet in life who are very special.  Bob Garrett is one of those folks.

Garrett, who spent 10 years in management at KY-102 and four years with American Cablevision, today is celebrating the 15th anniversary when he had a life-saving liver transplant. He has taken advantage of every day since then and never ceases to be grateful for the gift of life.

“I was three days away from dying when I got my transplant,” Garrett told a reporter a few years ago. “Now I feel like my body has a super-charger on it.”

Since his transplant, Garrett, who today operates Tinsel Town Media,  has been a tireless advocate for transplants and helped raise thousands of dollars for the cause.  He spent five years on the Board of Directors of the Donate Life Foundation and six years on the Board of Directors of the Good Samaritan Project and three years on the Executive Board of the group.

“Today is an amazing magical day for my family and me !!!!! It’s the 15th anniversary of my life saving liver transplant,” Garrett posted on Facebook.

“Through the power of God, prayers, Dr. Forster’s team, and my family and friends, I salute you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart… because, without you, I would not be here… I am happy to report my health is exceptional; I feel great and enjoy every day to the fullest.”
