Condolences go out to Russell Kinsaul, who was a fixture on KCTV5 as an anchor/reporter for 10 years before heading to KMOV-TV in St. Louis in 2004, on the death of his wife, Melinda, who lost a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer on Monday. (OBITUARY)
Melinda was 50 and leaves a son and daughter.
Considered one of the nicest people in broadcasting, Kinsaul was the co-anchor of KCTV’s 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts. He also worked as a morning anchor at KJRH-TV in Tulsa, Okla. as an evening news anchor, at KPLC-TV in Lake Charles, La.; and as a weekend news anchor/reporter in Lawton, Okla.
Melinda was a cheerleader, played tennis and was voted homecoming queen at Parsons High School where she graduated in 1980. She also received a BA degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. They were married on January 21, 1989 on top of Taos Ski Mountain, in New Mexico.

When you awake in the mornings may each step be a little softer and easier through your travels. May you be comforted and may God wrap you in his ever loving arms reminding you He loves you.
BEST BOSS EVER
I was googling your names and saw this article. I am very saddened, for Melinda was the best boss I ever had. Be strong Russell, it’s all in God’s hands. We miss you guys here in Lake Charles, LA. My prayers are with you.
I also saw this article by accident. May God bless you with your pleasant memories granted to you by our good Lord until you see her once again.
